Segway C2 Lite

A lower-speed youth scooter with simple controls and three riding modes.

The C2 Lite is sized for ages 6–10 and uses a 7.5 mph standard mode before its 9.9 mph sport setting. A hand brake, solid tires and kick-start activation keep the controls straightforward, while adult supervision remains essential.

THE QUICK TAKE

What this listing brings

PRODUCT SELECTION
Segway Ninebot C2 Lite youth electric kick scooter.
GOOD FOR
Youth, Beginner, Supervised riding
OWNERSHIP SUPPORT
Segway publishes the product manual, North American warranty and service process for this model.
FIT & CONFIGURATION
Segway lists ages 6–10, rider height 3 ft 8 in to 4 ft 9 in, a 44–110 lb rider range and 17.2 lb scooter weight. Age alone does not establish readiness.

Buyer highlights

  • Two powered speed levels. Standard mode is limited to about 7.5 mph, while sport mode reaches a listed 9.9 mph; power-assist mode helps while the child kicks.
  • Kick-start control. The motor engages only after the scooter is moving, reducing accidental starts while the rider is standing still.
  • Simple braking. A mechanical hand brake operates the rear drum brake. A parent should check lever reach and practice controlled stops with the child.
  • Solid 7-inch tires. Solid rubber tires avoid punctures, but they transmit more vibration and offer less cushioning on rough pavement.
  • Published run time. Segway lists up to 70 minutes in its test conditions and 5.6 miles at maximum speed; weight, surface, temperature and riding style change real results.
  • Electrical certification. Segway identifies the C2 Lite electrical system as UL 2272 certified and includes battery-management protections.

Warranty & returns

For North American products from Segway or an authorized retailer; seller return terms can differ. Checked October 3, 2026.

  • Warranty. The current North American C2 Lite document lists 1 year for the covered main frame, stem, fork, motor, controller, wiring, bearing, throttle, display, charger and battery assembly. Read model warranty
  • Direct-store returns. Segway currently limits direct-store returns to unopened, unused products within 30 days and lists a $30 C2 Lite restocking fee. Opened or used units follow the warranty process. Read return policy
  • Parent fit check. Before every ride, check handlebar security, brake action, charge, tire condition and the child’s reach, footwear and protective gear.

Before you decide

Use only with continuous adult supervision in a closed, dry, traffic-free area. A properly fitted helmet, wrist guards, knee pads and elbow pads are essential. The C2 Lite has no headlight, brake light, bell, reflectors, folding mechanism or suspension, so it is unsuitable for public-road, night or wet-weather riding.
